A Fine French Egyptian revival green onyx and black slate clock and obelisk garniture

Circular dial with enameled chapter ring and centered by recessed plate with exposed gear signed "Samour/ 35 Ave. des Gobelins/ Paris", within plinth form polished slate and onyx case engraved with hieroglyphics and surmounted by a sphinx flanked by winged beasts, all raised on slate tablet centered by a gilt scarab, the movement with Georges Verger et Fils mark and A.D. Mougin pastille, engraved "5230", "84"; together with a pair of conforming obelisks.
