The ovoid form, painted overall with a pearlescent glaze, the obverse and reverse centered with a pair of cartouches, one depicting a scene of courtship, the other a pair of doves, in pink and pale blue, tooled overall, the cover with berry and sunflower finial, with socle, mounted upon a square paw-footed plinth, signed ‘Lurot’ lower right, marked with apocryphal overglaze green factory mark under cover and overglaze red origin mark FRANCE.
