Cast overall with pierced scrollwork and chrysanthemum, enclosing a pocketwatch-style clock. The silver oversize pocket watch hanging within a pierced brass book-form case on stand with allover foliate pattern and red velvet lining.
This finely-cast 'standing clock' appears in a 1909 Caldwell company design record designating it as a sample for Edward F. Caldwell himself Provenance: Edward Theodore Caldwell, son of Edward F. Caldwell
