A Gorgeous Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Marquetry and Parquetry Mahogany Bureau Plat by Henry Dasson

Basket weave mesquite parquetry table with band of checkerboard pattern 

An elegant and extremely high quality French 19th century Louis XVI table with marquetry floral and fruit arrangement at the center, created using a multitude of a woods in different hues, such as a pink wood for the strawberries. Attributed to Henri Dasson. ormolu drawer at the center of the table is ornamented with a scene of a putti engaging in production an artist's guild. The ormolu on each drawf flanking the central figural scene has highly ornamented handles made of cornucopia. All standing on fluted, tapered legs.
