Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt and Patinated Bronze Cartel Clock with Chronos Figure

Circular gilt dial clock face with applied black Roman numerals flanked by two pairs of patinated putti (chubby male children). The Putti wear wreaths around their heads and sashes are tied around their bellies; one of the putti turns away from the viewer, exposing a sickle he has tucked into his sash. They are mounted below two fluted Corinthian columns, surmounted by a wreath wrapped in drapery which flows down onto the putti who playfully grab for the fabric. Below, is a large patinated figure of an exquisitely winged, reclining, Chronos.
