Gilt Bronze and Royal Blue Porcelain hand painted Serves Urns with Covers

This pair of intricately hand painted Sevres style vases are full of exquisite detail. The neck of each vase contains a unique painting of a young couple walking in the woods with dogs and lambs trailing behind them. Done in pastels, the forest scene becomes very dreamy when contrasted with the deep royal blue that color the belly and crown of each vase. Two handles flank the belly of the vase containing lion heads and naturalistic details. The square gilt bronze base rests on four lion paws.
