19th Century Bureau Plat Desk in Kingwood Att. to Francois Linke

A sublime Bureau Plat Desk in Kingwood with crisp ormolu mounts in the Louis XV style. A set of four female caryatids ornament each of the curved legs, with shields mounted on the four corners of the desk, framing the deep chocolate brown leather top. The facade contains three drawers with ormolu foliage handles with the reverse containing three false drawers with ornamental handles.
