A Louis XVI Ormolu and White Marble Mantel Clock of Cupid

A magnificent and large clock with gilt bronze Cupid mounted to the clock face. He is flanked by a painter's palette and a globe, while the clock is wrapped in a crisply cast floral wreath. This composition rests on a rectangular white marble base with a ormolu floral frieze and a band of ormolu acanthus leaves.
