A Fine French gilt bronze and marble clock from the second-half of the 19th Century. A central round enameled clock face with Arabic numerals is flanked by a seated Eros and standing Psyche, moments before she lights the oil lamp so she may see Eros, who has forbidden her to look upon him. Mounted on a base with foliate panels raised on square fluted feet.
