An antique Napoleon III arched mantle clock, featuring pink porcelain panels with hand painted portraits of Marie Antoinette and courtship. A hinged door provides access to the clock face, containing a pair of putti surrounded by roman numerals and dabs od white enamel and polychrome florals. There is an underlying theme of music on the side panels, which showcase a lute, a drum, and a set of bagpipes with florals and ribbon encircling them. The clock is mounted with fine gilt bronze in the forms of garlands, acanthus leaves, cartouches and garlands creating a sense of opulence and grandeur.
