Patinated bronze statue of Hebe atop Jupiter in the Guise of an Eagle, resting on an octagonal base, signed on the half globe.
In classical mythology, Hebe is the Greek goddess of youth, young brides and the cupbearer to the Olympian gods. She was also the daughter of Jupiter and Hera , king and queen of the gods. As cupbearer she served ambrosia, a drink that reinforced immortality, at feasts on Mount Olympus, home of the gods.
