A Sultan reclining on a chaise within an open Bedouin tent made of draped rugs and a bamboo frame. A shield, swords and ornate bags, hang from the intricately woven rug above him. He smokes a simple pipe, wearing golden robes and a matching turban. A crescent adorns the top of the composition, a symbol of the guidance of God on the path through life. Cold painted in bright and brilliant colors, the miniature scene exudes life and luxury.
Marked with B within an urn on the reverse.
