A delightful pair of Sèrves style Porcelain Picture Urns with Ormolu mounts. Hand painted with scenes of 18th century countship in a garden, inspired by the act of the fete galant, a popular painting subject first coined in 1717, involving handsomely dressed people in a garden or forrest setting. Framed by elaborate raised gold painted ornaments with rosettes, scroll forms, feather, and crosshatched motifs. The backsides showcase snapshots of the shore of a lake and the flora that surrounds it.
