A pair of silver plated bronze Oriental figurines. The male figure depicts a Turkish hunter resting his leg atop a goat while holding a falcon with his left hand. The female figure, a Turkish female dancer wearing a finely detailed dress, carried a rolled up flag. Both sculptures are signed on a circular base: E. le Guillemin.

Artist Bio:
Emile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin was a French sculptor of the Belle Epoque. He worked in bronze and studied under his father, the painter Auguste Guillemin, and under Jean-Jules Salmson. He showed work at the Salon of Paris from 1870 to 1899, and in 1897 received an honorable mention there.
