A Monumental Sèvres Art Nouveau Polychrome Porcelain and Gilt Bronze-Mounted Vase with Iridescent Glaze by Charles Fuchs
A spectacular, highly adorned, Sèvres urn in the Art Nouveau style. Skillfully hand painted garden scenes of maidens and putti on either side with brightly colored flowers, foliage, scroll forms and a few small portraits framing them. Doused in an iridescent glaze and flanked by two gilt bronze goddesses carrying baskets bursting with garlands. Finished with raised gold painted ornament that contrasts the smooth porcelain beautifully.
