Produced in France by the superb Christofle company at the end of the 19th century, the prestigious Christofle has been operating since 1830, and in that time has garnered a great respect internationally for their elegant and high quality silver.
This opulent antique centerpiece features an antique crystal, oval bowl with fluted starburst, floral carvings and scalloped lip, nestled within an antique ornate silver plated figural, two handled stand consisting of two seated Putti, each admiring a dove, resting upon wild apple tree branches. Standing on four branch form feet, the two handles flow into a central foliate motif consisting of a bushel wild apples and their leaves.
